Be More You x Valencia Marathon 🍊
Last Sunday, my community took on the Valencia Marathon — a race with fast conditions, buzzing crowd energy, and a reputation as one of the world’s quickest courses. For many of my runners it was a day of personal bests, resilience, and pure joy as they crossed the iconic blue carpet finish.
Nico Gouriou 🧨
Nico crushed his previous marathon time of 3:19 from Chicago 24’ with a huge 20-minute PR, finishing in 2:59. This caps an incredible year where he has broken all his PBs across 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and now the marathon.
Hira Diwan 💪🏽
After completing the Boston–London double earlier this year, Hira couldn’t resist a warm winter marathon. Despite developing a fever days before the race, she showed immense grit and finished in a strong 4:11.
Anthony Delorenzo 🚀
Anthony has gone from strength to strength since we began working together last September, earning PBs at every distance and a nomination for Athlete of the Year at our annual awards dinner tomorrow. After running 4:09 in his first marathon in Paris, he delivered a spectacular 40-minute PR in Valencia with 3:29.
Lisa Lee 💫
Lisa and I have worked together since January, building toward this race with solid progress and a PB at the Berlin Half. She was on track for 3:30–3:35 before cramp struck after halfway, finishing in 3:49. Plenty learned — and we’re aiming to put it right for London in April.
Freya thrives across all terrains — track, XC, trail and road. After a big year of racing, Valencia was the final challenge, and she delivered a brilliant new PB of 3:31.
Coach – Sha Hussain 🌞
After a setback last year with a chest infection, this season has been a steady rebuild. Some races were strong, others affected by heat, but I was determined to finish the year well in Valencia and build confidence for Boston ’26. I cruised the course in 3:16, met myself where I was, did my best, and am pleased with the outcome.
