π London Marathon 2025 Recap π
Chessy Teng and Jess Fraser blazing through kilometer 40 - Tracksmith Cheerzone
Last Sunday, 8 of my athletes took on the worldβs biggest marathon β and with it being the π‘ second hottest on record, it was no easy feat. But heat or no heat, these runners showed up πͺ:
1. Jess Fraser overcame injury setbacks to rise to her potential with a Boston Qualifier & London GFA 2026. Huge breakthrough and this is just the tip of the iceberg π
2. Jerome Scott-Blount has PRβd every distance in the past 2 years. Despite a strong block, the heat hit hard β but the best is yet to come π₯
3. Chessy Teng, training for her first marathon, broke her 5K & HM PBs along the way β and on race day earned a Boston Qualifier & London GFA 2026 π
4. Shah βBinksβ Hussain (my brother) ran his 3rd London Marathon in a row β training through 30 days of Ramadan β and still pulled off a π₯ 20-minute PB!
5. Hira Diwan trained through Ramadan, battled late shin pain, and still ran Boston + London 6 days apart β claiming her π6 Star medal and got engaged too π!
6. Annabel Lake, a close friend & athlete since Dec β23, has had an incredible 2024. London was just shy of a PR but she is full of π₯ momentum.
7. Nadia Abraham ran for her late uncle & the British Heart Foundation β€ Her first marathon, and she crushed it. Already planning the next one π
8. Phoebe Aldrich β a natural talent bursting with energy β secured a Boston Qualifier & London GFA 2026. Big future ahead π
